Power Steering, causes deaths

The Subject of this post, may cause you to think "WTF is this douche bag on now?" but wait a moment, and you'll realise i'm actually talking some sense... this time.

Think about how easy it is to steer a car these days, how mostly you can turn your car with one hand, or even just a couple of fingers. Now think what possibilities that opens up for use of your other hand / fingers!  Texting, fiddling with your clothes, fiddling with the passengers clothes!! Changing a CD. The possibilities are endless, and if thought about enough, probably worrying.

Now think about whether all those things are possible if you had no power steering?  Believe me, they are not.  Without power steering you need both hands on the wheel at all times, unless changing gear! Otherwise you will crash, and spectacularly probably.  Whilst this may be less fun, and you wont be able to play with your passengers breasts whilst driving - this means that you are concentrating a lot more on actually steering the car, and therefore less accidents will occur.  No longer would accidents be caused by people texting / facebooking whilst driving!

A crazy idea?... or some element of truth here!?

A flat tyre for Christmas

On my way to do the usual last minute Christmas shopping, i noticed the steering a little heavy. I got out to expect to see an elephant under the wheel arch (believe me, these things do actually go through my head) - and of course, there wasn't one.  There was however a slightly flat tyre.  Happy Christmas to me! lol.

I pumped it up with my 5 year old £9.99 Halfords foot pump, and it seemed up enough for a fun trip shopping.

When i got home i tried pumping it up a bit more, as it was not at optimum pressure.  The foot pump broke didnt it! What a good coincidence and luck that i have a feeling, i may be getting some halfords vouchers this year!  I now need a headlight bulb, and a foot pump!  You have to laugh at this!

On a lighter note - wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a Great 2012!

Dodgy drivers on mobile phones

A news story was published today regarding a driver who was caught talking on two mobiles, whilst doing 70 mph down a duel carriage way. He maintained that despite reports, he wasn't steering with his knees!  What was he driving with then?? He also said that he wasn't actively using two mobiles, he was searching for a number on one, and speaking it into the other.  Oh well - that's alright then!!

No doubt he was on the phone to his local whore house, and was reading out the number for his favourite sex phone line whilst steering with his penis.  For that he got banned and £200 of fines.

To be honest though, this isn't enough.  He has seriously risked the life of himself and thousands of road users and pedestrians around him by this act. Just for the sake of getting a good deal on a whore! Seriously though, mobile phones can destroy lives.  There is a well known police program that's repeated weekly showing the story of a girl who died when her car was crushed into a small cube, because the lorry driver behind was playing with his mobile and didn't see her brake.  That girl had a family, who has had their lives shaken, turned upside down and burnt to a crisp because of the lorry driver being stupid.

Using a mobile phone whilst driving is probably something we've all done at some point.  Just today i saw two people on the phone whilst driving and both of them nearly had accidents as i watched them.  One of them pulled out in front of me, the other was about to pull out on a police car with his blue lights on!  If these two drivers continue to do this they are likely to end up in prison on a death by driving charge.  I just hope they don't, and that honest road users don't end up injured or dead because of people like this.

Stop using your mobile whilst driving.  It's not worth the risk!
